The Undying Motherly Love
"For every child,the mother's lap is a heaven, which gives a endearing touch of love to even, the most soulless of us."
Often when we say mother,a gorgeous gracious silhouette of a woman begins to take shape in our mind's screen. But four years back, that image was replaced by a 4-legged,growling,grappling ferocious DOG!
Surprised??How the dogs who know no more than to "play catch" taught me compassion? Well here we go.....
4 years back,in the ever bustling city of Bombay,where Time,Tide and Railways wait for no man, a dog became a mother to 3 new-born puppies,in the vicinity of my house.
The cute little demons, who would soon grow up to be messiahs of Noise,now slept quietly coiled up for warmth.
As you know Dogs are Man's best friends,but puppies make him go weak in the knees.So we all society members pledged to bring a little of whatever we could for those darlings.
The next day I went to feed the dogs with biscuits.The Mother-Dog was nowhere to be seen & her pups were just playing around.I proceeded to feed those cute little bundles of joy,when suddenly the Mother-dog came ferociously & started barking with a vigour that would put even the police-dogs to a shame!
Terrified i stepped back and the pack of biscuits just fell down from my hand. The Mother-Dog now calm,that i was away from her buttercups smelt the pack and took it back to her pups.
The story continued with everyone.You just had to stay 10 ft. away from the pups,place your biscuits on the floor for inspection ,then the mother-dog would take it to her pups.
Anyone daring to break the protocol would be left with bloody souvenirs. But within a week,of enjoying her newly found motherhood, she was killed by a reckless driver. Once a vigilant mother,now lay with none of her senses active, completely lifeless.
Her puppies now somehow had to fend for themselves.However the next day, when we took to the pups another female dog leapt in , & started growling.
We left the food at its place and stepped back.The new Female dog began smelling the food & took it back to the puppies.
JUST LIKE THEIR MOTHER! And she took them under her wings,The early orphans found another mother's lap.
A MOTHER HAD DIED, but even from the skies above, she assured that her Love doesn't.
That day,the 4-legged animal taught me what its to be compassionate!
