Meet The dandling little guy, with his horn to fight and wings to Fly, known to us as the Majestic Unicorn, The pride of Scotland, Their National Animal.
Whilst many other options in the Animal Kingdom were a fierce competition , Scots voted for this Magical Myth.
There have been various reasons for this, predominantly the Scottish culture which is Rich in History, myths and superstitions.
The Unicorn ,as legend beholds is a beautiful white horse with wings to soar the sky. It was extremely strong, ie could easily pin down an elephant in a rumble. It had magical powers too. Eg:If a snake made water poisonous Unicorn would dip his horn and purify the water for other animals.
But instead of using its prowess to dominate the weak,Unicorn spread love . It was opposed to the Lion who used might to rule, since the Unicorn ruled for peace and harmony.
This act of chivalry was something which expressed the Unicorn as a Symbol of Love, innocence, strength and purity.
It was loved the good until death and brought wrath upon the evil.A perfect blend of feminine love and masculine vigour.
And so the Scots proudly voted for the Unicorn to be given the well deserved honor.
Many scientists have argued that no such animal can exist with a lot of logical proofs.
But the medieval period holds Unicorn in high regards with Greek scholars mentioning them in many of their works.
Whatever the case, The Majestic Mystical Unicorn remains a Unsolved Mystery for the world!
