A Trip Down The Memory Lane
“We are a part of the society, not apart from the society”.
In Sanskrit there is a saying, which goes “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakaum”, meaning “The entire world is a family.” But in my family I have seen specimens of every character in the world. We all have had these relatives, some whom you love and some whom you hate, but none whom you can ignore.
After being under the daunting yet loving and caring wing of my relatives, suddenly a resemblance struck me,A re-connection with my relatives ,by a chord i totally adore. And this connection oriented link was nothing but my childhood friends from the “TV Nagri” a.k.a “Cartoons”
1.PIKACHU.
This smart, powerful and cute pokemon was the trend of the 90’s.Every child wanted to be a pokemon trainer and go on adventure with this buttercup.
The strength of Pikachu was giving an electric shock to the target.
We all have had that one uncle who always made it his life’s motto to give us a reality check. The sombre uncle who does want you to enjoy but not before he is done explaining you 100 reasons why you should drop the plan at once!
2.SHINCHAN
This notorious kid does manage to bring a smile on our face,Come holidays & we always used to wait to go to “Fun-Aunt Rachel’s” House, who would teach us n number of tricks and treat us with goodies. With her it was always “Trick to Treat” scenario.
3.Doraemon
While most of the world just waits to see your downfall, there are some who do everything possible to keep you going! There is a Doraemon in everyone’s life who always pull out a solution and amaze you.Kudos to those “amaze people”.
4.Tom and Jerry
We all have had brothers and sisters who made our life a living hell. They used to steal the last piece of pizza, pour cold chilling water over us, fight for the T.V. remote , spy on us. Sometimes we had to “pay them” to keep our secrets intact. Give it a thought, we actually paid them to do NOTHING!
But even then life seems incomplete without them. After all every Tom needs a Jerry to chase.
5.Popeye
Life is a roller coaster ride. With some perks, we also need to face some pitfalls. So when we used to sit with a long sunken face our Popeye uncle made it his mission to explain us the body dynamics to remain Rough and Tough. Although he was also the same strict uncle who made us eat a lot of green veggies.
6. Johnny Bravo
Who doesn’t remember the “Pehla Pyaar” of their lives? *blush blush*
And who doesn’t remember the Loveguru brother to whom we turned for advice.?The guy who taught us how to woo women and how to charm guys with a single smile.
7.Tweety
Every family has that aunt who is the designated khabri of the house. She will have all the gossips from “Why Sunita left her husband” to “Which parlor does Kavita take her cats to?” With her ,it is almost impossible to have a moment of peace, because either she is busy telling you gossips or asking questions to you for creating some engaging piece of gossips.
So many memories refreshed! If reading this brings a smile on your face, go ahead and spread the smile by sharing the post! Tag your cartoons in the comments and follow for more…
